How Often Do Sewing Machines Need Servicing?
The frequency of servicing a sewing machine depends on several factors, including usage, type of fabric, and machine age. Here are some guidance to consider:
Light to moderate usage every 300 hours of use (which could be 2-5 years
Higher usage users who sew requently or at higher speeds every 300 hours ( which could be about 1-2 years)
Caring for your machine between services
To prevent build up, uneven or skipped stitches . Remove lint build up regularly around your bobbin and moving mechanisms.
If your machine is in a hot or dry environment it may also require oiling. WARNING, only use a drip of oil on each location to prevent oil dripping onto your sewing project.
Regular servicing helps maintain the machine's performance and longevity, ensuring it continues to work efficiantly and effectively.

A non returnable assessment deposit of £20 is taken on receiving your machine, this is taken off of the repaired cost.
To ensure the safety of your machine it will be routinely PAT tested as part of our basic service and labeled.
Should your machine need more than a basic service or fail the PAT test, Mick will contact you do discuss options available.
